Over the past three years, building a classic kiwi barn in the far north of New Zealand and adapting it into a fully functioning Foley Stage, Mix Stage, Edit Suite, Prop Storage and Gym has been a journey marked by patience, perseverance, patience, improvisation, and a deep commitment to patience.
In an evidently hard to supply location, unpredictable weather, and the unique acoustic challenges of fitting out a massive resonant space all played their part. From sourcing materials and managing logistics to fine-tuning the space for both performance and playback, every stumble forward, was marked with two or three steps back.
The Bespoke Post Stages (Melchior, Balthasar & Casper) finally stand complete, bigger and better in every way than our previous stage, immensely quiet, purpose built, and already delivering world class noise.
